Emporium volunteers<\/h2><\/div>

They enable the running of events and activities at our Social Bean Caf\u00e9 and Emporium.<\/p>\n

If you want to help us help our community, or have a skill you want to share, please express your interest in being a volunteer in our Emporium!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volunteers help in the day-to-day activities of the Community Centre, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors, and supporting our initiatives and services.<\/p>\n

As you volunteer, you might be involved in activities including, but not limited to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • welcoming visitors to the centre<\/li>\n
  • helping visitors find information on available services, upcoming events and general inquiries<\/li>\n
  • setting up and maintaining Emporium stalls<\/li>\n
  • managing Emporium sales and displays<\/li>\n
  • preparing for and closing down events<\/li>\n
  • helping with event promotions, registrations and on-the-day logistics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    In return, we offer to help you engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n

    To volunteer with us, you must:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with you at all times<\/li>\n
    • undertake a National Criminal History Clearance prior to commencing and every three years thereafter<\/li>\n
    • advise us of any convictions that may affect your eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of the position<\/li>\n
    • have had at least three COVID-19 vaccinations<\/li>\n
    • have strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n
    • be proactive, with a keen eye for detail<\/li>\n
    • be able to work independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n
    • have a basic understanding of health and safety procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
